Love this one Coop! It's good to see an all-stars banner like that. Just noticed it today in the actual banner, you do some great work man.

It's Dark Force from Phantasy Star III.

    And thanks, Baloo.

Melf- I'll give that one a try, after I've done a few others.
    Nice!

Hah, no wonder I recognized it. I just assumed PSIII wouldn't have been used.

Oh snap! It is from part 3. Damn, it's been too long since I've played that game. Nice to see it get a nod.

So I started working on this banner. And wanted to make sure I wasn't stepping on anyone's toes or anything before I complete it.

    What do you guys think?

Edit: I really wanted to do an OOTW banner, but found out that the issue with that game is that everything is polygons and not sprites. So you can't use a sprite ripper on it to get all the needed character animation frames. So you have to do either a video or screenshots from an emulator. Which is damn time consuming. But I think it will be worth it. That is of course if everyone is cool with having this banner despite it being a port and not a Genesis exclusive.

There are banners from other Amiga ports (e.g. Wolfchild). So I think it is safe to say that new additions are welcome.

Other than needing to be looped smoothly when you get it done, it's a good start.

And if it was a game on the Genesis, it's fine to make a banner of it (as long as you use the Genesis version for the banner of course). Whether it was a port or an original game doesn't matter.

Cool! Thanks! Yeah it's from the Genesis version for sure. I basically just finished splicing the scene together , edited the sega-16 logo. And did some screen shots for the character and did a few frames to see how it would turn out.

Can I ask what program you use to make your animated gifs?

Well, if we're going to be showing unfinished banners, I have one.

It's from Fatal Fury 2. I stopped it mostly because I couldn't find any sprite rips of attack impacts and I was starting to think the sprites were simply too tall.

I'd like to see a genesis virtua racing banner. Or maybe some 32X and sega cd banners.

I started one for Flashback, but the sprite/polygon ripping was just a pain in the ass.

Guntz- I ran into the same problem with Street Fighter II: SCE. Some games just have characters that are too large to really work with.
