Ambitious project, certainly interested to hear how this goes,

it would make sense to have the 32x system setting as I assume making anything custom would be insanely difficult, unless you could slightly edit the 32x stuff? I wouldn't be too sure, but make sure you show us the finished article! Look forward to seeing it!

As far as the 32x being up or down when testing...if the wires are soldered properly, it shouldn't matter. The down position (with the homemade RF shields stuck in between the wires) is probably the better test, since that will be the final position when the Neptune is complete. Just take care inserting and removing the cartridge, you don't want to accidentally mess up a wire. One of these days I'll finish my own Neptune, I have a few different Genesis and 32x motherboards on my desk in various states of assembly right now but I haven't touched it in a couple of months!

Well heres the thing, when i stand it up sometimes everything works but when i lay it down folded or standing up. sonetimes the system wont work without the 32x stading to one position or another. when you test your how do you have your 32x system at?

I've done it both ways. If the system works in one position but not the other, my guess would be that you have two wires touching or a wire not making contact in the down position. Check and recheck everything.

On my first Neptune the system worked with Doom, but not other 32x or Genesis games. It ended up being a trace that was messed up on the bottom side of the motherboard.

hi, thanks for your help on the other stuff. Can you tell me if the problem is with the wires breaking off and me fixing them, is this why the system dose not load no games anymore? Im asking was there a short when i did things up.

This problem with the black sceen thing dose not start unless i ran intro those problems, what do you think?

Also someone told me that soldering a wire on the foil that gose between the 2 set of wires and solder the other side of that wires on ground. Is this something that you know about?
pls reply sir when you can thanks.
