Not sure if the AMOK videos on Youtube are very good, these are ones I took a few years back.

I'd also highly recommend Gun Griffon:

Which reminds me, I really need to pick up GunGriffon 2:

Expensive as hell but it doesnt really look like its worth 3 or 400 hundred dollars

Ebay prices are bit to much for this game

I would get the Japanese version but I own a Netlink.

Taromaru is very expensive, but I hear it's a decent enough game. Probably not PDS quality though.

Doom goes for money on the Saturn? I didn't know this.

And Saturn Bomberman is great, I picked up my copy for $50 off of a friend of mine on Digital Press. Don't have the Netlink though, but I've always wanted one. Also have Virtual On and Sega Rally for Netlink but the one phone jack in the house isn't close by enough to my Saturn really for it to be useable in my house. It's something I've always wanted to try though.

I was talking about the imported Japanese version of Doom.

I had to buy the Japanese import of Doom recently for about $50. Its consistent 20FPS makes the purchase better than a cheap US version which I recall being a slide show.

    Just finished Disc 4 tonight.

Needless to say, the ending was so epic that my internet literally went out as I was watching it. No lie.

    Amazing.

Believe it or not, that DOOM Sega Saturn import version video on YouTube is mine.

Back in 2005 when I purchased JP Doom, noticing that the JP release date was later than both European and US release date, I held out hope it was somehow tweaked. Of course back then there was no info on this. To my pleasant surprise, it runs much smoother than the crap PAL/US Saturn versions.

I remember reporting this to Rec.Sega back in the good old days. Not many believed me, so I uploaded it to YT in late 2005 or early 2006 (before YT exploded and became a sensation). Crazy to see JP DOOM going for $50+ these days. 6 years ago it was like $15... although it was somewhat scarce.

Really cool to have 60 levels of Doom playing on a Saturn control pad

It was your report that got me wanting Doom Jpn, long time no chat with. Man do I miss the R.G.V.S. days though.

Damn, Amok looks pretty sweet. I'll need to keep an eye out for that one.

I got Amok! I haven't played it yet, but I'll post impressions when I do.

I've been looking at videos of Darklight Conflict, and it looks pretty cool. Anyone play it?

I used to own the PS1 version, pretty decent for it's time.

I'm not sure where you're getting your information... the 4-in-1 works with PDS just fine. While you can't save/load Saga directly to/from the 4-in-1, that's true of every Saturn game. You have to basically transfer your save files from your Saturn's internal memory into the 4-in-1 before you start the game if you want to use it as a memory card. The 4-in-1 functions more as "save storage" for stuff you aren't currently playing as opposed to a traditional memory card.

I remember getting an error message when trying to load Panzer Dragoon Saga while a ActionReplay 4-in-1 is in the cart slot.

It sounds like it was too complicated for you.
Advance Guardian Heroes streamlines the gameplay significantly. It is pretty much my favorite GBA game.

Any chance you could try it again at your next convenience? I'd check myself only I don't actually own copy of the game; my friend very graciously lent me a copy about a year ago and that was how I played it. Any chance that your copy of the game is a different region than the console you're playing on? Because I did find this:

If you try to play the NTSC or PAL version of Panzer Dragoon Saga on a different-region Saturn console using an Action Replay, a "PLEASE REMOVE THE CARTRIDGE" message will pop up on-screen and the game will not load. Fortunately though, you can avoid this problem if you input the following Action Replay code:

    Master Code:
    F6000914 C305
    B6002800 0000

    Cheat Code:
    06002EB0 0009

This code has been tested with an Action Replay Version 1.94, and we can confirm that it should definitely allow you to do the following (with this Action Replay model):

    - Play the NTSC version of the game on an NTSC-J Saturn
    - Play the NTSC version of the game on a PAL Saturn
    - Play the PAL version of the game on an NTSC-J Saturn

We would assume that it will also let you play the PAL version of the game on an NTSC Saturn, and we would assume that this code will work with Action Replay models later than Version 1.94 (and possibly even earlier), but bear in mind that these things are currently not confirmed. There is unfortunately no known code that will allow you to play the NTSC-J version of the game (Azel: Panzer Dragoon RPG) on a non-NTSC-J Saturn, although theoretically a code such as this should exist.
In any case, it appears that the boot code should work with either the PAL or NTSC versions of the game on any system. I just can't actually test it out myself at the moment...

To the Guardian Heroes haters, I'd suggest you go back and give it another shot! Awesome game, that one.
