sonic 1 it came with my megadrive when it first came out
Altered Beast.
Very strangely the first non-pack-in game I got was Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle.
I got home form school one day and my brother told me to go look on my bed. I hadn't known him to have any interest in videogames since like the Atari 5200 days, but apparently the Genesis had rekindled the arcade fever of his youth.
I still never got a clear explanation of why he choose Alex Kidd, except that it was one of the only games at the $40 price point. I don't think he ever played a videogame again in his life.
The first game I purchased was Last Battle. For some reason I was expecting it to be like a martial arts Adventures of Link style game. Boy was I disappointed, though that didn't stop me from playing it through to the end countless times.
Altered Beast
Revenge of Shinobi
Golden Axe
I bought my Genesis for all three, but had to stagger them a bit.
For Christmas of 1989 I got my Genesis that came with Altered Beast. Also the same Christmas I got Truxton. It was a very good day indeed. I was 12 at the time.
MY SEGAS[Model 1 Sega CD x 5] [Model 1 HD Genesis w/Component Video] [Model 2 Genesis] [32X CIB] [Master System Model 3010] [Nomad w/LCD mod] [Dreamcast] [Saturn] [Game Gear]
I had played a lot of NHLPA 93 and Mortal Kombat 1 at my best friend's house before I finally got my own Gen. I still remember it well, it was my 11th birthday, December 1, 1993. I received a Model 2 Genny with Sonic Spinball. It didn't take long before I got more games to go with it, but Sonic Spinball was the 1st Genny game that I owned. I thought it was crappy of Sega not to include a case for it, although they did include the manual.
Got my Mega Drive with three games:
- Klax
- Super Real Basketball (known as Pat Riley Basketball in the US)
and - Golden Axe
Guess which one my favorite was! You've got three guesses![]()
The funny thing about an oxymoron is, even if you remove the ox, there'll always be a moron. The Question Remains: Y?
Quackshot, Sonic 1, Spider-man.
I absolutely LOVED my dad :P
Altered Beast, and got a few days later Alien Storm.
I previously played on the C64, so I was truly blasted by the graphics and the lack of loading times!
Shining Force.
From what I can recall.
