Nigel Mansell's World Championship. It was the first I played and the one that came with my system.

I wasn't interested in the Genesis until 2006 when I bought Streets of Rage 2. At the time, I was really into beat 'em ups and decided to get a Genesis because I had read online that the Streets of Rage series particularly part 2 was the best beat em up series in existence. After a couple of years, my interest branched out from there to the considerable Genesis/megadrive collection I have today.

First bought, technically the same since I had to save up and buy my Genesis when I was a kid, but the next game I bought was Jurassic Park. I LOVED everything Jurassic Park back then, but I was a major game renter when I was a kid since I couldn't really afford a lot of games.

Got the Genesis on launch of 89 and my family went all out when I asked for it and games.

Lets see. Altered Beast was packaged along with the Genesis so that counts. I remember also receiving John Madden Football to go along with the system. Damn, that was a good game and one that sealed the deal for me.

My dad bought me a second hand Genesis, which I still have, around 1997 I guess. It had Sonic 2 and Streets of Rage 2. Great times.

I honestly don't remember my first Genesis game, sadly enough. I started collecting for the Genesis as the system died in the late 90s, and bought games in a flurry from Funcoland and Hollywood Video as they dumped them. So I want from wanting a Genesis for years to a library of 60-80 boxed games almost overnight. I have no idea what I bought first (although I'm sure Sonic was one of the first).

The game I remember playing the most back then was Comix Zone (hence my pseudonym).

Sadly, I sold off this collection and while I've recollected almost all the games from that time, not all of them are complete (with some of the pricier ones being cart-only)

I never had a Mega drive when i was little, i had the big-N console's. But i finally got one (two actually, model 1 and model 2) on December 17 2010 with 19 games. But i did play sonic 1 on an arcade machine when i was little, and the first game i played on my "new" consoles was sonic 1.

So i guess sonic 1 was my first game
