I haven't a clue; the first game I ever saw on the Genesis was Altered Beast running in a store somewhere. The memory is pretty indelible. I have no idea what the first Genesis game I played was however

Edit: The first game I ever played, however, was Pong. I remember sitting down and trying it out in a Sears when I was a kid

It was VectorMan. A local toy store was displaying the game and I played it for a while. We didn't get our own Genesis for another three years or so, when my brother bought a Model 3 online with a bunch of games...but that was my first taste of Sega.

Ghostbusters. Picked up at Microplay Videogames in the early 90s.

    Streets of Rage 2

My uncle was playing it when I was visiting my grandmother's place and he let me try it out for a while. Needless to say, I was hooked.

As for my first purchase? Rocket Knight Adventures, which went on to be my favorite game of all-time no less!

My Mega Drive came with four games: Sonic, Last Battle, Italia 90 and Super Hang ON.

    First played: Sonic

I found Fatal Rewind and Dick Vitale's Awesome Baby College Hoops at Goodwill before I even had a genesis.

Christmas Morning 1992 Sonic 1 was the pack in with my Genesis. Later that day I'd find USA Basketball at my Grandparents house.

Sonic 1 was the pack-in title with my Genesis in the summer of 1991 or 1992. I got Mortal Kombat the following Christmas. I also bought WWF Royal Rumble when it was released.

Sonic 1, Quackshot and World of Illusion. Pretty good games to start with...
