Battletoads (Too Fucking Hard)

I finally beat this fucker. It's a hollow victory, not because of the garbage ending but because of the garbage final level: The Revolution is one long glitch. Fuck that level.
The game definitely controls better on NES but thank god (the god of irrelevant ports) they took down the difficulty by eighty percent.

Battletoads is the one of hardest genesis games in my opinion, I'm stuck in the Ice stage.

I played NES 'Toads back in the day. I could never beat more than a couple of levels. I don't hate myself enough to play that game now either. This is one that definitely crosses the line from challenging to masochistic for me.

Yeah Battletoads is fuggin' insane! Especially when the damned game turns into speed run insanity, where you have to race other characters. WTF.

I got fairly far in it this one time, but quit on the bomb race. There was a bomb placed at the bottom of the stage and you have to race one of the rat enemies down to the very bottom and reach it before he did.

You literally cannot make one mistake. Just 2 or so second mess up and you might as well restart the damned thing.

I watched a guy on YouTube play through the entire thing last night. The more I watched the less I desired to play it. I had no idea it was so mean aside from the bike level. I'll still pick it up if I come across it.

Battletoads on the NES is a complete nightmare once (and IF) you make it to the speed bike level. I think I beat that part MAYBE once or twice by complete accident lol.

Legendary title with legendary difficulty = legendary.
