    spiderman Custom Superhero game covers!

I made these just for fun. All these games are quite common (except Punisher) and they often come as cart only, so I figured I'd make some fun covers for them.

As always, UGC cover is formatted for Universal Game Case and Sega clamshell is for standard Sega boxes.

    Enjoy.

I really like the grace note of the thirtieth anniversary commemoration you included for the X-Men cover; ironically, the candy-cane sidebar is anachronistic, as is the rating, which is an interesting conflict: you're representing era, but also want some uniformity in the design.

The Hulk cover may be the most impressive: it's striking, marketable, with a strong focal point that also captures the chaos of the character. Technically, I think it may be the best.

Maximum Carnage? It was a better game than comic, and the cover is better than the game.

But The Punisher cover is the moodiest -- it has a frank violence, while being very still -- and my favorite.

In any case, very respectable work.

I agree that the original artwork was great. I feel the same way about the original X-Men cover.

But I like how he connected the two very directly to the games' opening cinemas, as the back of the boxes demonstrate. There's a lot of synergy to the design elements in these reimaginings.

These are great and awesome. i have to ask though, am i one of the only ones that likes the original black checkerboard box art? something about the later red template just makes me ehh.. maybe it was all the art that went with it since djshok's work is starting to make me like the red boxes.

Took a page from synapse's book here and made a JMD style cover for a game that didn't get a Japanese release.

I was inspired by this thread to do up a cover for Judge Dredd. It badly needs a better version than the bargain-bin sticker style one we got.

    I used djshoks wonderful templates.

Ooh very nice! Great choice of artwork and game! Also, I'm glad to see that my template was of use.

The only thing I'd suggest is when you're making the preview in Imandix use Cover type: DVD: 4/5/6 (box 1), that one is the same size as the Sega clamshells so the preview won't look distorted.
