Shadow Squadron makes great use of the mode button also; the third-person perspective that becomes available makes it play like an entirely different game rather than a simulation.

Here are a couple more games that use 6 button:
    Shinobi III
    Williams Arcade's Greatest Hits

Shinobi III requires a code and two controllers. Highlight options, hold mode on controller 1 and up and c on controller 2 and then press start on controller 1. Williams Arcade Greatest Hits doesn't detect it automatically and it's activated by pressing mode during gameplay on Robotron 2084 or Defender II.

Any JP only games that use it? I'm guessing Gouketuji Ichizoku (Power Instinct) uses it.

    It sure does.

The Japanese Rockman World has the 6-Button logo on the back but doesn't actually utilize it in-game. As for other J exclusives, theres DBZ, but as far as I remember it only uses A,B and C in game, along with the MODE button for quick movement. I think.

Did Power Instinct not get a US release on Genesis?

No US release on Genesis, only SNES in US.

Edit: I have to check, but I think Great Circus Mystery uses 6 button too. If I remember correctly, it lets you use the x, y, or z buttons to change costume.

doh, didn't see it on the list. Was thrown off by the "the".

If you want Sega CD games too, add WWF Rage in the Cage to the list.

Also the 32x WWF Raw, but I wonder, do any 32x games not utilize the 6 buttons?
