What FMV game has the best traps?
In my opinion I like Night Trap only because it’s so bad its good.

I actually enjoyed Double Switch as a kid. Due to the nostalgia, I'll have to side with that.

I'd say Double Switch, but I don't care about either of them really.
I like Night Trap. I've only briefly played Double Switch, but it seemed like Night Trap on steroids and Night Trap was already hard enough.
I managed to beat Night Trap getting 91/95 of the bad guys. I don't like that if you want to get 100% of the bad guys, you have to keep switching cameras and miss parts of the story.
BTW: OP make this a poll!![]()
Is there an option for "none".
Sorry, I truly despise these FMV games.
They are a permanent shit stain on Sega Cd.
I just got Double Switch and it looks pretty good. I for one like FMV games. I finally got some free time so I was debating on Night Trap for the Sega CD 32X or Double Switch. I am going to have to withhold my vote until I finished the games. Matter of fact, I am going to start playing right now
...Man, I forgot how hard these games were. Cheaterdragon you must be some kind of gaming guru. 91/95 in Nigh Trap. Wow!
Things get pretty hectic very quickly in both of these games but I have to say that Double Switch has the better traps. The traps are more elaborate than Night Trap and they look like they really hurt (I feel for the actors, ouch!). I also have to say for a non 32X CD game, Double Switch has some good quality video.
As far as pick up and play, Night Trap's traps are easier to use but in Double Switch you can see what rooms the bad guys are in. I guess it is a trade off but both games are still pretty tough. You definitely have to put in some time with these games but they are fun if you don't get frustrated too easily and give them a try.

I like Night Trap better because I could actually figure out how to play it. Double Switch seemed confusing to me and I never made it more than 5 or 10 minutes in before turning it off. Also, it was far less interesting as a story/premise.
I tried to follow a strategy guide, and I missed a couple on Night Trap. Should've been called Night Crap.
When Night Trap first came out I made my own guide with all the time codes and locations of the Augers it took me a long time that was be for GameFaqs.
Night Trap has my vote. I'd spend my allowance renting a Sega CD, 5 in 1, Night Trap and Mansion of Hidden Souls for a weekend. My buddy would take his allowance and buy the usual junk food: Pop, Popcorn, Pringles. Throughout the weekend we would try to beat Mansion and Night Trap. A lot of great weekends spent playing Night Trap with a friend. Everytime I play Night Trap it takes me back to better days.

I have both (32X version of Night Trap, though) and can't really decide... I find them both very tricky on the timing... probably because I spend too much time paying attention to the videos instead of the clock. So I didn't vote as there's no selection for both or neither (which ought to be in the poll).
Definitely Night Trap for me, I still have an old EGM that shows the times and locations of all the Putties whenever they show up. I used to play it all the time over at a friends house.
