Default Where is the 2 players mode ?

A lot of Genesis/MD games are great and near perfect arcade port.
Unfortunatly, the lack of the 2 players possibility doesn't make them awesome.
SEGA and their third party developers were involved in this regretful orientation.
It is strange because one of the primary ports included the 2P mode
(for examples Forgotten Worlds, Altered Beast, Golden Axe).

HELLFIRE : a very respectful conversion to the arcade one.

As great a game as it already is, agreed.

    Growl is another honourable mention.
To be this good takes AGES, to be this good takes SEGA!

What's strange is that I could have swore a friend and I played growl with 2 players. Maybe I was dreaming. Unless you have to have 2 controllers plugged in for it to work, but maybe not.

I never understood not at least giving the option to play 2 players. So what if there is slowdown. Final Fight 3 has outrageous slowdown in 2 player mode and it's still funner then playing by your self. Mercs 1 player only breaks my heart still a good game though.

It is among my favorite games on the Genny, and the best home port in my opinion, but it would have been incredible to play this game with a friend.
The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.

Then we set about developing killer games.

All the Darius 1 and 2 home ports kind of suck - if you don't have the super-wide screens then you're missing out on the one thing that made Darius interesting to begin with (besides all the fish).

I understand where you're coming from but Darius 2 on Genny uses completely redrawn graphics in a letterbox screen plus its music sounds even better than the arcade and CD versions.

One player only alone versions ported from two players versions, that must be a reason for NOT keeping gaming friendships for long time.

P.S. Mr.Smith, your guts is STILL mine! As a orange werewolf, I should rip out your guts the most painful way that you'll ever imagine! I guarantee this will happen one day! I should eat it like a king.
