Default integral usb stick won't read on my pc

I have an integral 8 gb usb stick that my pc won't read. it's not the usb port(s) because other hardware works on those ports. the usb stick isn't broke either because it worked on school pc's I tried. when I insert the usb stick my pc makes a sound that it recognizes new hardware, but nothing pops up

I'm at a loss here I have no idea wht type of integral I have for possible drivers to download, although normally you don't have to download these.

    any clues?

Try going into Computer management and select disk management. See if the drive appears there. If it does then it probably does not have a drive letter assigned to it. Right click the drive and select assign drive letter.
It should then appear in Windows Explorer.
