Very surprise how many like wired more than wireless, hmmm.
Question, for both wire and wireless controllers, WTH does the button on the top right called "MODE" do?

Lets you play three button games that hate the six button. Try Forgotten Worlds without holding it while powering on the system.
so I followed this cleaning controller video from one of my favorite mod teachers and found it to be VERY helpful, those black circles were FUCKING dirty but now the everything responds quicker and I don't have this problem where I press a button and it doesn't sink in very well anymore!
I actually am starting to like these controllers more now(the sega official ones)

Yeah I love the Sega brand wireless 6 button.Use them exclusively; no problems. Except when the batteries start running out every couple months, and then the responses start getting lost, little by little.
For PS2, Logitech wireless are awesome.
Don't play the other systems much but I just use their normal controllers -- Saturn 3D controller (I mostly play KNiGHTS) and for DC I use its normal one, as much as I don't like it
I prefer having wired controllers.
I like wired controllers;
Don't have to worry about batteries (Y'know, when you want to play, and the batteries are all dead? <<), and wireless controllers of today are so expensive! Man, 45$ for a PS3/Wii/360 controller! I remember when NGC controllers were at 20$, these were the good times!

Wired with 6' extenders.
Back in the day it was wired always as the wireless technology was quite poor in my opinion
I don't particularly care for IR based wireless controllers, but anything Wavebird or newer I love. I'd still like to try the official Sega wireless pads sometime, but for the price i'd rather track down some NOS Sega 6 button pads.

I have only owned a wireless controller for my NES, and that piece of junk would lose connection if it wasn't pointed directly at the receiver at all times. I waited for that pad to arrive on layaway for months and that was the quality I received. The control pad ended up being used as a space ship instead.
I would buy the Genesis wireless pad if I ever saw it for a normal price, but the lag introduced by modern wireless pads deters me from paying a premium for it.

For the Sega Genesis I prefer wires, for the reliability in connections. However when it comes to the new technology with PC's I prefer wireless.
Wired all the way. I throw my controllers too much...
