Damn, sorry to see about the screen.... As for the case, I used to be into painting miniatures (warhammer 40k) to get paint of miniatures I used a product called "Simple Green". I grabbed it from a hardware store, it was the key.

I wound up using dot 3 brake fluid. Worked like a charm.

Simple Green is great! Many great uses!

So I tried what is shown in the video, and now I get this:

It takes several hours of heating with a hot air gun/hair dryer and pressing the bottom edge of the screen with a pencil eraser before the screen becomes 100% functional. Be patient and keep at it. It's well worth the effort.

I also own a scratched up Silver GB Light, but dot 3 didnt work... (2 different brands Autozone and Prestone, neither works and I soaked the case for over 24 hours in both versions)
What brand of Dot 3 did you use and does anyone else know how to strip paint from a GB Light?

I have a gameboy light, CIB (!) anyone know where to get a replacement screen cover for one? do they even exist?
