It would have been nice if they didn't mess up on the NES. Great console with some great games(Startropics probably being my favorite), but the thing with it being a frontloader wasn't the best idea. The Famicom was a toploader, and didn't have any of these problems. I had to take my NES apart and pry back all 72 pins to get it working the way it should. And even after you do that, you will eventually have to do it again.

maybe i should try that with mine. mine works MOST of the time, actually, but sometimes the odd cart just doesn't boot until i reload it a few times.

and no, NINTENDO products are rather well made, on the whole. outside of that issue outlined above, my original first NES is still going strong,
    as is my SUPER NES.

the big issue with the SNES, at least the US/CAN. models, is that the 1991 first editions, which were U.S. market only,
have a hideous tendency with the top half of their body cases yellowing very badly and becoming extremely brittle.

it seems that the 1992 onward U.S./CAN. revision version has it even worse off, as the one i found had BOTH body halves yellowed
FAR WORSE than the upper body half of my original 1991 model.

further, the 1991 model has a separate, unplugable daughter-PCB module containing the SNES' SONY OEMed digital sound synthesis chipset,
whilst the 1992 onward models have that same chipset integrated into the main PCB.

just thought this interesting, as i finally got a chance to crack open and clean my SNES about a week back,
and decided to do the same with that 1992 model i had tucked away as a spare...

Right. If they have no joints, and are made for display purposes only, they are "Figures". "Dolls" on the other hand, have joints with many points of articulation, and can be displayed any way you want them to be.

right. and Anime Dolls are ideal for "Mods" at that. my very first, "Princess Ayeka Masaki Jurai" from TOYNAMI corp's 2001 12in. "TENCHI MUYO!" doll series,
inspired me to learn how to sew, in order to make her clothes that i wanted to see her in.

almost a decade later, i have learned a lot, enough to qualify as a "talented amateur" doll clothing taylor, i think,
and have moved to a a single, cohesive scale for my growing Anime doll collection, thanks to OBITSU CORP's 27cm. "OBITSU BODY" doll body system.

these are IDEAL doll bodies for sprucing up older Anime dolls from the 90's and early 2000s,
as post 2007 27cm. Anime dolls always invariably tend to have very poor body design, just begging for a modern OBITSU upgrade.

anyway, that aside, here are some crummy screencaps from the third ep. of the rather silly "TwinBee PARADISE" 3-part OVA series.

from what i could gather of it, (JAPANESE LANGUAGE ONLY, NO SUBTITLES)
Pastel-chan somehow managed to accidentally get her brain swapped with that of some stray cat; (SHEER POETRY IN STORYTELLING, I TELL YOU)

You've certainly developed a great passion for the Twinbee stuff, but I guess I can't blame you. I may have to watch the OVA's sometime. I wouldn't mind learning how to sew, it must be nice to be able to look at the dolls you've sewn dresses for even more, because you know you were involved in making them look so beautiful.

Seems a bit underaged, eh? You might get tagged for CP with this.
