    Default Capcom Fighter Power Stick

    This had been sitting on the shelf at Game Over in Round Rock for over a year. I tested it out with Contra Hard Corps and was surprised at how well it was designed. I went home and looked up more information before going back to Game Over to purchase. So here is quick video I put together. Feel free to use this thread to post pictures and stories of your own.

    Great review! Looks like a great Arcade stick. I may have to pick one of these up!

    @GohanX

    Yes, models from both sides of the Pacific seem to share the same internal components.

    All Capcom Fighter Power Stick's came with "Sanwa JLW-TM" sticks, Omron microswitches for both the joystick and buttons, later revisions swapped the JLW for a Seimitsu LS-40, wich is the same stick found on Neogeo old style arcade controllers.

    PS. No need to change the standard balltop, because it is already a real "arcade" balltop, it's a Sanwa one, the same that comes mounted on the Sanwa JLF's on the "SF4 Madcatz TE stick" for the Xbox360 and PS3.

    I swapped the ball top because the original was a little scratched up... and I wanted a pretty pretty pink bubbles one.

    And the JLW vs LS 40 is a gamble. Manufacturing date doesn't matter. Someone on SRK purchased a late SNES CFPS run and it actually had a JLW. So you really don't know what you are getting until you open the stick up. Here are some close-up shots of the LS-40 that my friend took:

    Matsushita switches:

    Though the design is straight up LS 40, there is no Seimitsu branding on the stick. That may be the case with an actual LS 40, but I do not have one to compare.

    True, the pink ball top does look better. As you said, it goes with the joystick's color scheme. As a matter of fact, it looks so good it almost looks edible!

    Indeed. I wonder what it would taste like.

    Well, seeing how shiny and pink it is, I'd say like a watermellon-flavored candy apple.

    Game Over is awesome! I always make time to visit their main location (183/Lamar) whenever I'm in Austin and I never leave empty handed.

    Off topic but I also hit up Pinballz Arcade & Arcade UFO while I'm there too lol

    that's definitely an ls-40 by Seimitsu.

    I have a few LS-40's, 5 of them, only one has "Seimitsu" branding on the 4/2 way plastic guide, and those Matsushita micros seem to be of much better quality than what comes nowadays with new Seimitsu sticks, only the ones with microswicthes soldered on a pcb have Matsushita branded microswitches, LS-32-01 and LS-40-01.

    I should have bought a bunch of these for $15 back when I had the chance back in the day!
