You can drift in some Nascar games if you want . . . you're not supposed to though.(you're generally not supposed to do that in most formal racing games -be it stock car, formula, rally, etc)
Aside from the arcade-feel, there's the fact that Daytona USA doesn't really use the boring oval circuit tracks, but road/rally-style tracks (of which there are several used in Nascar -like Laguna Seca and Sears Point/Infineon . . . I used to play those 2 most in the old PC Nascar games, partially because I'm personally familiar with them)
Does anyone else have the urge to punch the kids posting comments on the videos saying "WTF WHY DOES THIS LOOK LIKE PS1 GRAPHICS?!"
YES YES YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS IT STILL HAS THE DAYTONA NAME! I FUCKING LOVE YOU SEGA
And here comes the part in which I wish my 360 wasn't banned...

Well that'll learn ya not to wave your privates at the Kinect.
If only the 360 supported Logitech wheels. Forza 4 and Daytona aren't really fun without a wheel! (and the Fanatec wheel is priced in the 'strictly-enthusiast' range)
lolno. Hell, I don't even HAVE a Kinect!
I got banned way before the Kinect came out. I think it was about a week after the release of Modern Warfare 2 (FUN FACT: It was released on the same day as my birthday), back when Microsoft was banning those with modded/flashed systems left and right. Hence why I got banned.
Hey, games are really expensive here in Argentina, you know?
