Very helpful information all around, though I need to point out that my TG16 is modded with a Region switch, RCA jacks and also an LED and a reset switch. I have no use for RGB so I never did that mod. I've been living on AV for quite some time now. Indeed it's very hard to go back to RF, especially when it no longer works.

For now I don't plan to buy a Duo system, or a CD add-on. I want to enjoy some Hucards firstly. Thanks for all the help!

That's a nice rig. There's plenty of gaming goodness in Hucards; I'd say most of the good games are in that format. Enjoy!

Why mod a TG16 with AV outputs? Unless you did it yourself or something, I'd think a TurboBooster would probably be cheaper...

If you haven't noticed, TurboBoosters are rather expensive. Even more for a Booster+. Modding is far, FAR cheaper. The RCA jacks and wire cost me roughly $5 and some of my spare time.

Didn't you notice that I said "unless you did the mod yourself"? I mean, having someone else do it, with the price that would cost, plus shipping, would not be cheap I think...
