Well, he was a lybian dictator that was in power since 1969 until today. He was an assasin, as thousands of deaths are attributed to him. His death marks the end of the civil war, but they shouldn´t celebrate so much. They still have to estabilish a real, people aware goverment, but Gaddafi´s death is the end of a dark era in Lybia´s history for sure.

I have had mixed feelings over the Libya thing since it started. He had it coming and I don't think any tears will be lost over it. Still all the NATO involvement leaves a bad taste in my mouth for whatever reason.

I don't pay much attention to world news, but I've heard enough over the years to ascertain that this guy was kinda assy. He probably deserved to die, too; brutally and without dignity at the hands of the very people he had persecuted.

That's why my motto has always been, "Don't trample on the backs of tens of thousands of people because there might be an uprising and you will die shirtless with all the hair ripped out of your head."

It's worked out pretty well for me so far.

Good thing that man is dead. Now I just have one question... why the HELL aren't they doing the same with that Bashar Al-Ass-ad of Syria? He is treating the opposing forces exactly the same as Qadhdaffi (lol, the guy has ADHD in his name!) and has killed around as many of them as well.

Is this Gadhafi thing similar to what was tormenting Mexico for so long?

Man, some of you have to read a newspaper once in a while

Gaddafi was a scumbag for sure and I don't think there will be too many tears shed for him. However, I'm not sanguine about celebrating someone's death. It seems dehumanizing.

Guntz, no. It isn´t the same thing. Sure a single party ruled for about 72 years, but they were different people. Some of the presidents during that era were pretty good in fact. I can recall free textbooks and roads built during that era.

I've read in the newspaper about the Rebels and Gaddafi for months. I'm not going to miss him, that's for sure.
