toppling a madman dictator is one (rather heroic and worthy of applause) thing, but changing the collective mentalities of the community that overthrew him is a different kettle of fish. People who occupy the blighted middle east are quite diverse ethnically and culturally, but it seems they need more time and upheavals to reach consensus on what formulates a modern civil state that best suits them first and foremost.

    WTF?

French yes but I don't think you can ever accuse us of pussy footing around anything, we are always the first country after the US (often at the same time) to get involved in any dispute.

Gadhafi was a ruthless dictator along the lines of Saddam Hussein. That some have been fooled into thinking he was duly 'elected' by the people of Libya makes me fear for their intelligence. That he managed to fool others into thinking he was becoming a 'good guy' and 'cooperating' with United Nations and other organizations in ANY positive way shows how the kind of masterful manipulation of media can sway public opinion.

The man was personally responsible for tens of thousands of deaths if not more and got exactly what he deserved, though a little too late in his life and career. He should have been gone long ago and I will lose the same amount of sleep I lost for Hussein and Nicolae Ceaușescu (Former Romanian Dictator) - which is none.

Then again it would have been a really bad idea not to support the opposition at all.
The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.

Then we set about developing killer games.

Apparently he said while being dragged out of the drain "what did I ever do to you?"
