I used a Game Genie code to beat the original Road Rash. I got to the fifth and final set of races, beat two of the tracks, and could never come even close to beating the other three... FOR YEARS. So, after over a decade, I cheated to see the end and finally put that game out of my misery.

50% of the time, yes. I've been trying to keep it varied but that move is just too good NOT to use it.

If you wanna make it far without losing in SOR 2&3, try the flying knee and grab technique. I love this technique, and without it the game would be much harder.

    Flying knee>Grab guy>Knee him few times>throw

And your pretty much invincible when you use the flying knee (best thing about it).

Try using another character* lol. All of them are fun to use in Streets of Rage 2. I doubt many people could beat it though on very hard without cheesing with Axel.

Me and my neighbour as a kid completed SOR2 on mania mode. I was playing as Blaze and him as Max.

I can only make it to R. Bear on Mania. That guy gives me a lot of trouble on all difficulties.

Once I saw Mania mode it was the only mode I played SoR 2 on. That makes the game so incredibly awesome.

I can't complete Sonic 1, Labyrinth just does it for me, and if I manage to beat Labyrinth I can breeze through Star Light, before getting my ass handed to me by Scrap Brain.

When I bought Sonic the Hedgehog right after its release I had to set it down for about four months because of the Labyrinth Zone. It turned out I was just obsessive about speed at that point and thought I could beat Robotnik at the end. I kept trying to hit him and ending up dying. It literally took me months to figure out I was just supposed to get above the water and forget about the boss fight.

I always liked Sonic,as a character and his games too, beating all the games up to the Dreamcast ones even Sonic Shuffle. But I never liked Sonic 1, I blame the lack of spindash cant pinpoint exactly what turns me off.

Sonic 1 is cruel, it has crushing cheap deaths, I think it puts alot of people off, there is hardly any frustration to be found in Sonic 2 and 3 imo.

I just HATE the marble garden zone boss in sonic 3. that pisses me off just as much as the spring yard zone boss in sonic 1 and the labyrinth zone in sonic 1.

I used to hate the Marble Garden boss as a kid, but after playing through a few more times i got the hang of it and it's pretty easy, I don't remember it as Knuckles though.

Damn!! My friend and I can only get to the elevator section on Hard. :/

But, then again, we're usually drinking quite a bit while playing (usually around ~8-9 beers deep at that point) so I'm sure our reflexes are a bit dulled.

I think that's what I like the most about Sonic 1. It just feels a lot more challenging, not to mention the fact that it has better music.

Not sure if it's because of this, but Sonic 3 & Knuckles are my least favorite Genesis/SCD Sonic games.
