I own the film "White Zombie"(One of Bela Lugosi's finest!) It is the the Roan Film Group edition. Its made from a laser-disc edition that itself was made from the original film negatives. This film was made in the 1930s, there is no way that watching it in HDMI is going to make it look "better" than it already does. I think the same is true for older sprite based games. At a certain point, "better" can't be achieved.
But don't they have remastering software these days that can sharpen aged film images, take out static and "snowy specks", and otherwise make older film footage look nice and crisp?
    It is finished!

Have you ever seen old film footage that's been over-processed? Its not pretty.

The GBP has a few display modes, and I find that some games look funny on modes that other games do fine with. Full screen vs bordered, etc. You just have to go from game to game and test it.

It also won't play those GBA video carts for "piracy concerns"(companies afraid of the video being copied) but why anyone would want to watch one of those GBA video carts on a big TV is beyond me, they really don't even look good on the GBA. Modern handheld devices with video playback have also made them obsolete and I don't even see those GBA video carts for sale anymore because almost no one wants them now.
