What's wrong with Final Fight? It's not arcade perfect, but I've played the hell out of it. The only issue is that Alpha Cody is severely overpowered.
That's the actual speed of the game!? LOL, I thought that was the lag from the video itself.

    This looks pretty abysmal

No, it's unbiased analysis. The only fanboyism is people who claim that Hyperstone Heist and Bloodlines are actually as good as their SNES counterparts.

    Nope.

That port is a piece of shit. So much so, that I laugh whenever I play it.

But OT, MK Advance is horrible. Just.......horrible.

Wow, that's got to be the worst port of any Mortal Kombat game ever! I think the opening text was probably the most exciting part of the game.

But seriously, if someone wants to play "Good Handheld Fighters", get a Neo Geo Pocket Color, you won't regret it.

The most exciting part is turning off the game.

What makes the GBA port worse, is that the hardware is capable of producing a quality version, but whomever ported just didn't give a fuck.

And yeah, the GBA version of Earthworm Jim is one of the kings of worst ports.

I was stuck on what seemed like a never ending car trip once when I was 14 or so and my only entertainment was that game and Tetris. Needless to say I played a lot of Tetris.

Exactly. An example: The opening theme to MK:A is a three second loop.

SFA III isnt good but too much stuff got cut out. Yes it was a great achievment to get all the characters on there plus some new ones but it wasnt worth it. I probably spent maybe a few hours tops on the game total as I couldnt take it anymore not to mention the control issue with the only 4 buttons. It would have been better off to just cut the roster in half I think. I think there's only like 10 backgrounds total which is abysmal. Dont even know about the endings since I never finished it even once. Not sure how much voices/music got cut either because its been so long since I played it. There really was no reason for me to buy this game since I only played GBA at home and I had the PSX and DC Alpha 3 games.

While I wouldn't call it a "port" in the strict sense, Space Channel 5 on GBA is pretty damn terrible. I haven't played it but Contra Advance is said to be a terrible port of Contra III.

On the flipside I thought Doom and Doom II were rather decent given the hardware they had to work with. The fact both games are fully and easily playable with limited buttons also gets a lot of credit. I know Doom II looks better because they custom built a copy of the game using a new engine- Doom was a GBA source port of the Jaguar version and is running an actual doom WAD file, albeit one really stripped down. But seeing as DSDoom is never going to be finished and these companies iwll probably never have a licensed port of Doom on the handhelds again I think the GBA versions are fine if oyu want a mobile version and don't have a hacked PSP(I'd not imagine trying to run it on an iPad or any other touch screen device, it doesn't sound like it'd be very fun to play it that way).

I love real Shining Force games and the original is my favorite Genesis game. But I really didn't like the overhauled GBA port. The redrawn and recolored graphics feel wrong and don't look right to me and the gameplay just isn't right.

SF I, II, CD, Gaiden I - III and SFIII Sc 1 - 3 + P all play right and the 2D games all look right. The GBA just feels broken overall.

I wasn't crazy about the GBA Lunar either, even though I love the Saturn version.

GBA Lunar isnt bad. I dont like the changes they made to Shining Force either. It was real easy to miss certain characters which pissed me off that I would forget them.

Wow, that doesn't even look playable. And what's with the heavy animations in the special attacks?
