    Default Favorite Star Wars games

PC or Console and I know there were tons on the PC but I was never a big PC gamer so I'll only talk about console ones.

    My top 5 are

    1. Battlefront II (PS2)
    2. Battlefront (PS2)
    3. Super Star Wars (SNES)
    4. Force Unleashed (PS2)
    5. Episode 1 Racer (N64)

The Star Wars Trilogy Arcade Game was my personal favorite. Too bad they never ported the game over to the DC.
I don't play old stuff for nostalgia, I play old stuff because the games are better.

One of Sega's many, many, boneheaded moves of that era.

The first Rogue Squadron on the N64 is probably my favorite. So much content and unlockable stuff and cool passwords and it's just damn fun! One of my favorite 64 games for sure.

    NES = Star Wars.
NES = SW: The Empire Strikes Back.

    That's all.

Not sure why anyone would pick those when the SNES ones are basically the NES ones on steroids.

Steroids create disgusting overmuscled freaks and sometimes cancer. There you are.
Unless it was made during the 16 bit era any game on both consoles is better on the NES.

    Star Wars (arcade, 1982)
    Star Wars (sms)
    Star Wars Arcade
    Star Wars Trilogy Arcade
    Star Wars Starfighter
Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles (GBA version only)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Xbox)
Star Wars Trilogy: Apprentice of the Force
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (GBA version only)
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga

I liked all of these games more than the critical darlings in the franchise, especially Super Star Wars, which I did not like at all.

I kind of like the Namco Famicom Star Wars game (excluding one horrible maze that I had to map out with savestates), moreso than the NES game made by Beam Software. It's pretty similar to Alex Kidd in Miracle World.

A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

    Rogue Squadron

    Rogue Squadron II

    X-Wing Alliance

Shadows of the Empire(slight preference for the later Windows 95 version for its sharper visuals, voices and cutscenes, and higher framerate)

X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter(even though it's more multiplayer-oriented than the other games in the series)

    TIE Fighter

EDIT: I failed with the video I first linked for TIE Fighter. I only just realized I linked the Windows 95 version and not the MS-DOS Collector's CD-ROM version.

    And my personal favorite...

X-Wing! This game's been my crack addiction since I first got the floppy disk and Collector's CD-ROM edition last year and have played it almost every day since, be it either to play some of its OPL2 and OPL3 music to see how good/bad OPL3 chips are or for some serious playtime in the Tour of Duty.

The Atari arcade ones are my favourites followed by KotOR and Namco's wacky Famicom game.

Empire Strikes Back (Atari 2600) and Star Wars: Rebel Assault (PC) are easily my favorites. I love fighting the Imperial Walkers in Empire. The gameplay has a Defender quality to it as well, it's so much fun. I'm not a purist though, as I often play with a Genny 3-button controller instead of the old Atari joystick. Rebel is great with a proper PC flying joystick controller. It's on the SCD as well, but it's so pixelated that it's hard to see what you're doing half the time.

I've always enjoyed the SNES games as well. They have a good mix of platforming and flying/shooting elements. The 32x Arcade game is fun once in awhile, but everytime I play it I end up firing up Shadow Squadron because it's so much better.

Star Wars Arcade 32x can be summed up by the word disappointment.
How did they manage to fuck up such a simple concept that badly? The hardware isn't to blame. The 32X handled the port of Virtua Racing just fine.
