I just bought myself "Blood: One Whole Unit" if that counts.
Best "Build" engine game...ever!
...I love GoG's Christmas sale.

The last time I asked anyone to get me video games for Christmas was '05. Half of those games are still sealed. Needless to say, I'm not expecting any games for Christmas unless you count the numerous things I've purchased on eBay (like that mint CIB Mega-CD Karaoke Unit which should arrive soon).
Be Attitude For Gains!
Good news! I might also be getting some Japanese Mega Drive Games for Christmas!
Hopefully I'll be getting both the Art of Fighting and World Heroes Anthologies for Xmas![]()
Last year my wife got me a few NES games (Jaws, Top Gun, TMNT, she didn't realize games based on movies suck and I already had TMNT). As a result, I keep a list one common game for each system I have in case she wants to buy me any more games. For father's day, my kids got a me a gift card for my local retro game store. And this year for Christmas she played it safe by getting me newer franchise games instead (Sonic Colors, Super Paper Mario, Super Mario Galaxy, and maybe Donkey Kong Country Returns).
I guess this is as good a thread as any to list Christmas hauls... Maybe somebody could change the thread title?
Anyway, here's a little list of all the things I got for Christmas (not all in one day, Christmas it a bit odd around my place... Especially this year!)
N64:
Conker's Bad Fur Day (two copies, both CIB. One near mint and the other a little worn but excellent otherwise)
Resident Evil 2
Hybrid Heaven
Glover
Bust-A-Move '99
1080 Snowboarding
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six
Duke Nukem: Zero Hour
Quake II
Doom 64
Monster Truck Madness 64
Star Wars: Battle For Naboo
Turok: Rage Wars
2600:
Warlords
Asteroids
Swordquest: Fireworld
Swordquest: Earthworld
Frogger
Battlezone
Indiana Jones - Raiders of the Lost Ark
Neo Geo MVS:
Metal Slug
Samurai Shodown
Hardware:
NES front loader (working but needs a new pin connector) + hookups + two controllers + zapper
PSOne Dualshock (transparent gray looking)
PlayStation Dualshock (gray)
PSP 2200MAh battery
Other:
Super Mario 3D Land (3DS)
Two steel ball obstacle course plastic balls (not sure what they're called)
Mario themed Monopoly (board game)
Asterix & Obelix, The Collected Adventures (DVD box set, UK)
Asterix and the Vikings (DVD UK)
Fairy Tail Volume 1 (DVD, Funimation)
"It's a Neo-Geo thing, you wouldn't understand" (T-Shirt)
"Made with quality Nintendo parts" (T-shirt)
"I am serious and don't call me Shirley" (T-shirt)
They go by many names, like this one called Perplexus. It's this plastic transparent ball with an entire steel ball obstacle course inside it. You rotate the object itself to move the steel ball along the path. They are really fun!
I ended up getting Knight Rider Special and Outrun for PCE Complete. Also, since I knew I wasn't going to get much gaming related as gifts (people don't get it and get confused even if I give them direct links) I bought myself some stuff over the previous month as well. I picked up Golden Axe the Duel for Saturn Jpn Import, Child of Eden for 360 Kinect, Chrome Hounds for 360, and Starlancer for Dreamcast.
I also upgraded my HTPC from the Athlon 64 X2 4200+ to the X2 6400+, which makes Sonic Generations smooth and Arkham City nearly 60FPS full time. Then at the beginning of last week I snagged a Pelican Pro 2.0 Switcher box, which dramatically increased the video quality of my Component systems over the old 1.0 model, plus my Harmony remote can now change the inputs from the comfort of my couch, which makes switching from video capture to the actual game for gameplay much much more simple.
I also picked up a bunch of HD Movies. The Crow, Hellboy II, Battlestar Galactica Season 1, Iron Man 2, and the third Mummy flick which really isn't as good as the first two.
"... If Sony reduced the price of the Playstation, Sega would have to follow suit in order to stay competitive, .... would then translate into huge losses for the company." p170 Revolutionaries at Sony.
"We ... put Sega out of the hardware business ..." Peter Dille senior vice president of marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment
"Sega tried to have similarly strict licensing agreements as Nintendo...The only reason it didn't take off was because EA..." TrekkiesUnite
I bought myself Giana Sisters DS for Christmas. Then I remembered that my DS broke almost a year ago.
You just can't handle my jawusumness responces.
My wife doesn't generally get me any retro stuff, as there weren't any stores that sold the stuff, and I generally don't talk about old system stuff I want, I usually just buy it. However, a used shop popped up near here, and I kept dropping hints that I wanted Secret of Mana on SNES, but I didn't get it
It's not her fault though, buying games for me was a lot easier back when we first started dating and I didn't get paid enough to buy whatever new game I wanted. The Dreamcast was the current thing then, and I would often look at DC games that I couldn't afford to buy. IIRC she bought me Shenmue, Soul Calibur, Capcom vs SNK, and SF3 Third Strike at various times.
