Since Sega completely shut them down and didn't even have the good sense to license the game and release it themselves I highly doubt we will be seeing anything on Streets of Rage Remix's level any time soon.

Sorry not gonna happen, Bomberlink is tired of doing big game projects like SORR and will only focus on doing his own thing in the future.

(Sega's C&D clusterfuck certainly didn't make him any more anxious either)

Golden Axe Myth is pretty nice. Not as good as SORR but not too bad.

Only thing I don't like about SORR is they used to many crappy stages from SOR3.

Isn't that what happened with this Sonic CD release. Some guy made an awesome Sonic CD emu and they shut him down only to have it released for various consoles?

You're referring to the Retro-Sonic engine I think, which was supposed to be the ultimate Sonic game creation engine thingy,
From what I recall he then joined forces with Sonic XG (xtended game) and became Retro-Sonic XG,

after that Sega licensed his engine for the Sonic CD release on PS3/360.

At least that's what i think happened.

There was more than 1 jetski level and I think they needed more vechicle stages besides just the motorcycle.

Yeah the Jetski idea was not properly implemented, and it really distracts from the original game.

The motorcycle stages are poor too, probably the reason they were canned in the original BKIII.
(it certainly wasn't because of rom space, since both bike levels are still in the rom)

I still like seeing the motorcycle stages in SORR though, but that's because i must have spend weeks staring at those BKIII pics in gamepro.
