Yes, because of the guitar, makes the composition more interesting.
Of course it can't compete in sound quality with a CD tune, but then everything that's not CD Audio is crap.
Ok I need some help here. What enemies and bosses were new in Dracula X and weren't in Rondo of Blood ? The 2 headed dog is the 1st level boss in Dracula X and is he even in ROB ?

I also like DX artwork more than Rondo's. Too bad there's not much of it and the ingame cutscenes are lacking.

And here's Rondo's. Too anime-generic imo.

I too like the Snes one better. In fact some Dracula X tunes sound better on the Snes, like Vampire Killer, and Opus 13.

Homerism aside, Rondo is far superior.
And...
When the original composition uses a guitar lead you can say whatever you want, but a generic trumpet or an organ (or whatever it is) will never be better, simply 'cause it should be a guitar and not another instrument.
I like how those SNES "top" tracks are always taken from enhanced emulation.
That example is clearly faked by emulation since it has no sign of interpolation and the hardware forces it (and, usually, + some losses in quality due to compression used to fit in the cartridge/sound RAM), it's not optional at all.

Interesting how Bloodlines Frankenstein is much taller. SCV IV Frankenstein clearly looks the worst. I also thought Dracula's "demon form" in Bloodlines was terrible compared to the other games. His demon form in Drac X looked much nicer and in Rondo it was incredible. Im now convinced the character art and design in Rondo was far superior to Bloodlines and SC IV.

I mean look at his demon form in Bloodlines and compare it to his in Rondo and it its not even close to the quality it is in Rondo. I cant belive how badly drawn and designed it is in Bloodlines. He had no 2nd form in SC IV I dont think.

Yeah, the animation in Rondo is great. But what about background art? It looks kinda lacking really.

And no, I am not against Rondo. A like all the classic CV games but I find Rondo is the most overrated one of them.

I dont think any classic CV game is overrated but a few are underrated. If anything SOTN is overrated because of how they changed the gameplay of the series and how they started to make Alucard the main character. I never played SOTN but I played the GBA CV's which are similar and I got lost/stuck so many times that I got bored and I started to question if SOTN really changed this series for the better,.
