Ha, I thought I might want to double check that statement...
My bad, I haven't payed attention to much of the current console generation. I especially don't pay much attention to non-physical products.
By the way, just looking for info on Bomberman 64 I see that Racdym also programmed the Bomberman Kart games. (And they programmed Irem's Sub Rebellion ...so there's a weird roundabout connection there from the original arcade Bomberman being published by Irem, then later on the series being handed to a development team that also had previous connections to Irem)
What makes one a "real" Bomberman game?

That was a careless statement on my part, especially since I'm not a Bomberman aficionado.
What I have in mind are traditional Bomberman games which stick to the graphic style and basic gameplay elements of the original Bomberman
At the most extreme case of a "non-real" Bomberman game; consider Bomberman Hero on N64. It is a fun and frequently overlooked game, but it isn't a real Bomberman game. It is generally a Mario 64 rip-off, and was actually the salvaged Bonk64 project.
And then there are the ones like Bomberman Fight!, Bomberman Land, and Bomberman Online that change the playfield perspectives, or graphic styles, or other variations.
The Bomberman RPG on Saturn is one oddball that I'd like to play sometime.
Oh, so it was.
