    what ones would people on here recommend I just got Halo Wars and really like it

    It depends, do you like the resource management aspect or the unit micro management aspect?

    Dune II (MD), KKND Krossfire (PS1) and Command & Conquer series. Also, The Sims (that counts, right?), Sim City and the Civilization series.

    You could try Age of Empires Online for PC. It is by the developers of Halo Wars.

    Out of classic ones, Red Alert 1 is the best.
