Information about my video game guides and reviews.

In this thread, I explain some stuff about the guides and reviews that I’ve made and/or will make using a question and answer format.


Q: How did you get started making guides and reviews?
A: I’ve always liked helping out my fellow gamers, and I’ve seen video game guides/walkthroughs on the Internet, so I decided to try making them. At first, I’ll admit, I lacked a lot of experience and made some major mistakes. I’ve since learned from them and believe I am better at making guides and reviews because of it.


Q: Are you going to post these on another website?
A: Nope, sorry.


Q: How many guides/reviews have you made?
A: Technically, I’ve made five (one of them is just an updated/severely modified revision of another guide/review.) Here is a list if you are curious:


1. Art of Fighting (Sega Genesis) Combos & Strategies
NOTE: This guide/review was re-posted by Sega-16 user goldenband with my permission after I removed the original post.

NOTE: This is the updated/severely modified guide/review revision I was referring to, so whether you want to count this as an entirely new guide/review or not is okay by me. I choose the latter and consider the original version more along the lines of a "beta" guide/review.

NOTE: I will no longer be creating or posting video game guides/reviews as of May 1st, 2012.


Q: How much money do you make off of your video game reviews and guides?
A: None. I make these guides/reviews simply to help those who may be having trouble with the games and to express my opinions of the games. In other words, it is just for information/entertainment purposes.


Q: Why does the Art of Fighting (Sega Genesis) Combos & Strategies guide not have a copyright disclaimer section?
A: I rushed the guide just to get it “out the door” so to speak (looking back, I realize that was very unprofessional of me to do even though I don’t consider myself a professional at this by any means), and didn’t realize that it was missing until I read through the guide again. So, I made that revised edition of the guide to remove incorrect information/filler material and add new combos, strategies and information that the original guide didn’t have. I’ve also stated that none of my guides or reviews are copyrighted in any way and that the company/companies involved with the creation of the game(s) own everything in regards to the game(s) (this can be read with more detail on my profile in the comments section).


Q: Do you have any guides or reviews that you just never finished?
A: Yes. I did have a guide/review for the Sega Genesis version of Fatal Fury 2 and another one for World Heroes on the Neo Geo. I simply felt that the guides/reviews for those two games weren’t going in the direction that I wanted, so I never completed them.


Q: Do you take suggestions or requests for guides/reviews?
A: I do not take requests for guides because I don’t have all the time in the world to be creating them. I do take suggestions/requests for reviews; depending on what the game is will decide whether or not I accept your request.

NOTE: I am no longer accepting video game review requests/suggestions as of May 1st, 2012.
