That has a lot to do with the culture and education going down hill in the last 10-20 years.
Some people don't want to read, write or think like humans anymore. They prefer to exchange some herp derp messages all the way, to watch childish movies and maybe think about reality-shows, silicone and all that stuff...
It's all a matter of choice and opinions, but just don't count with me in that boat.

lol. Just because a post is long doesn't mean it's intelligent, and just because it's short doesn't mean it didn't get its point across. Personally I don't think a person should need more than a paragraph to to make a point about something. If they need three pages I start to suspect that they might be full of shit.
