But that's the beauty of koolkitty posts! The sheer length of them keeps out those who aren't strong to read through them, thus keeping the discussions more interesting.

Well, I'm not a programmer, and don't understand any of that technical stuff, so I don't bother reading them. Not to sound ignorant, but I had to put kool kitty on my ignore list to shorten the amount of time it took to scroll down thread pages.

And you think that it actually is a good thing?

I would rather get my posts read by just a few guys, the really interested ones; and they usually read all posts no matter how long they are...
Many short posts are so superficial that they're completely useless.

Well, that's your opinion, but many people these days will just refer to a lengthy post as "tl;dr".

That has a lot to do with the culture and education going down hill in the last 10-20 years.

Some people don't want to read, write or think like humans anymore. They prefer to exchange some herp derp messages all the way, to watch childish movies and maybe think about reality-shows, silicone and all that stuff...

It's all a matter of choice and opinions, but just don't count with me in that boat.

Well, I don't mind reading, and I excelled in Literature in High School, but when someone starts talking about technical stuff that I don't understand, it's pointless for me to read it.

I was talking about the people you're talking about, not you.

Some posts are too techie for some threads also, I agree.

lol. Just because a post is long doesn't mean it's intelligent, and just because it's short doesn't mean it didn't get its point across. Personally I don't think a person should need more than a paragraph to to make a point about something. If they need three pages I start to suspect that they might be full of shit . (not Koolkitty, he's a scholar and a gentleman)

Just like in politics, the ones who talk the most are the ones who say the least.

    Who?
