Eneloops are a type of rechargeable battery (AA and others) that work great. You can find them on Amazon or plenty of other places and then put them in the battery part for your Nomad.

I have enough parts to build a few Nomad battery packs, but shipping back to the USA would be pricey. The above guys are right, new tech. rechargeables make it 6 of half a dozen of another.

Oh right, if you already have the casing, then you just need the battery. Uhmm... if you look around, you can find what other people use. They're usually camera batteries. That is if you feel like glueing it all together yourself.

You don't have to settle for 2200mAh, either. You just need the right dimensions and voltage... 7.8 ish? Anyone?
Hang on, I'll have a look for ya
http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17415 shows the battery he used. a quick google reveals this:
    http://www.mdsbattery.co.uk/shop/pro...Fe4htAodTHPatg
Which gives the dimension and a few models which accept that battery. Searching the first model it gives shows me this
    http://www.batterycenter.co.uk/batte...FcxofAodpHXkrg
    70.50x38.00x20.50mm
which is a 2300mAh battery with the same dimensions, and whcih for the UK at least, is cheaper.

So try googling camera models and "battery" and just check the dimensions are within those limits(ish).

Yeah, that's what I have. They are all around that price, but you might be able to save $10 or so if you keep an eye out.

Bloody Hell! That is taking the piss. I bought 4 rechargeable type for $25 each shipped to Australia, new-old stock. The good bit was he sent 6.......

I do have 2 of the AA battery type, but sending it back to America would be pricey too.
