My experience as well. I've never seen an unbroken SCD/Saturn long case outside of pictures.

We don't break them - they COME broken from the store. Back when SCDs were still being sold, I had a store employee show me a shipping box when I asked if they had a game with an unbroken case - every case in the box was broken, and more than half were smashed to the point that they just went straight into the trash. They ordered blank long boxes from a supplier to replace the broken ones, and those arrived in almost the same condition. They made due with cases with one or two cracks, and no more than one broken hinge.

I like long boxes because I can see the game title on the spine from more than six inches away and it reminds me that I like that game and ought to play it. Jewel cases are only a little bit better than disk only at reminding me I actually have that game.
Big boxes are certainly easier to read from a distance, but I prefer slim cases - you can read them just fine from the distance you normally stand from the shelves - about an arm's length.

Sega should have followed Sony's example and ditched the longboxes for jewel cases. I hate longboxes
I wish SEGA Europe stook with their Pal Mega CD cases - To me they've been the best game cases for any system

That's odd, I've never seen a new game with broken cases and have always waited to find them used until I got a crack free case. Jewel cases would be destroyed in the same fashion if they were kicked around in a shipping box.

Nah, games have to beckon me from at least 7 feet away or I forget they exist.

Standard double disc cd cases, nothing special about them, but I agree they were very sturdy.

When I get a Saturn again I might try collecting only plastic hard-cases for Pal games, I wonder if there is a list for them over at Satakore. They are awesome.

You have no idea. Every time I'm interested in a girl they end up basically fucking me in the ass in one way or another.

Very weird... I've STILL NEVER seen a girl/woman playing ANY kind of video game device, be it mobile or console.

At the time, jewel cases WERE almost that bad, too. Our company ordered jewel cases in units of hundreds with the knowledge that maybe only half would be usable, and jewel cases were FAR more "durable" than long cases. We'd get a box of cases, and you'd have to go through the absolutely destroyed cases on the outside, then double-check the "good" inner ones for broken hinges.

Well, I guess big cases are best for you. Lucky for you that cases are much more durable now than they were then.

Run as soon as they put on the strap-on . My girlfriend plays games too but unfortunately she isn't into retro stuff besides gameboy games. I know quite a few other women who like games, at the very least pokemon.

My wife bushwacked me into thinking she would play games together but over the years it has become more and more like pulling teeth to get her to play. I should have guessed, and kind of did, when she interrupted my tour of gaming history by kissing me when we first started dating.

She can kick my cheese at puzzle games though.

Nah sheath, mine is definitely into weird (for girls) stuff. She likes metal and magic the gathering.
