It's a handheld emulator with just the one engine in place and no cartridge slot (obviously). Unless they plan to sell this thing for under $50, what's the point?

My PSP runs a homebrew Neo-Geo emulator near flawlessly (yet to have any problems). Why should I pay let alone trust Blaze for a most likely overpriced emulator on a chip handheld considering all ive seen them do is licence Sh@t games crap for resale in country's outside the US including my own?
its indeed a shame that this thing is gonna be stretching roms to widescreen,
now if only they understood that there's money to be made by pasting together a new KOF just for this thing,
Could even have it so you can download characters/stages/music via their online thingy.
I'd buy it for that, and since there's like 300 characters they could easily charge like 25 cents per char/stage.
Tagline : Build your own KOF!
Given that it seems nice with a rather powerful handheld that has a actual digital thumbstick, I'm not sure if it's within my price range.
The system also looks a bit too thin and sleek, No "love handles" if you so will.
It sorta' looks like they just tacked keys onto a iPhone 4S which isn't exactly a very comfy thing to hold.
If I want a handheld it needs to be something you can hold for a while without getting cramped hands (read GameGear)![]()
Well, it's been a while since any new news on this has shown up. Maybe more details wil be given at E3?
I hadn't heard anything new, except that it was confirmed as official. I'd guess we'll know more at E3.

Probably just wishful thinking though :P
yep is a emulator handheld in my opinion is just 30 or 50 worth but 700?
too old for video games huh?
Looks cool. No way it will be priced at $700. More like $70.
I think a PSP with the Neo Geo collection and Metal Slug collection would work just as well or better though....
Now that more details have been released, is anybody planning on buying this?
I wish they would just come out and say "hey, it's fucking emulation", or "hey, it's not fucking emulation". Any other detail is secondary.
New stuff!
Here is a pic of the Neo Geo X in action. As you can see, the handheld is nowhere in sight. Only the docking station with three wires connecting to it: #1- controller, #2- video out, and #3- Power.
Awesome! I appreciate them trying to give me my money's worth with a quality handheld experience too, but i don't care. Its the seamless, replica AES experience i find enticing.
Picture seems to be outputted in full screen also.
A pic of the "Ninja Masters" game card given out free on pre-orders:
And a video of someone playing the handheld. From the sound of it, the stick seems to have microswitches in it:
And lol:
