Default Mega Drive II box versions

Just saw this Mega Drive II with Aladdin, great looking box in my opinion:
    http://link.marktplaats.nl/544958867

But a little too steep for my taste. I was wondering if anyone knows what
others versions have been released back in the day? I know of the Lion King
version, and my nephew has a great looking version of the MDII with Sonic
& Knuckles (I think, could be Sonic 3, very colorful box anyway).

And specificly, I seem to recall there being a Jurassic Park version. I'd kill
for that one... Does anyone know if a Jurassic Park version was ever released?
    Or just in my dreams?

Not sure about Jurassic Park, but additionally to the versions you already mentioned (seperate versions for both S&K and S3 exist), there are similar colorful MDII packages for Virtua Racing and Toy Story.

Man, Europe got some awesome packaging, much better then the US versions which are basically just stickers on the box. I especially dig the Sonic and Knuckles one.

I know there is a SF2CE edition one that I thought looked pretty cool. Yes it's a joke what we got in NA compared to this.
Beat Em Up- Streets of Rage 2
    Platformer- Sonic 3 and Knuckles
    Run and Gun- Gunstar Heroes
    Adventure- Story of Thor
    Action- Shinobi 3

Here she is! Sorry for the shitty quality, but this is all I've got right now. I've bought the set, so I will make
sure to send SegaRetro images of all sides and will post those here, as well.

It's a Mega Drive 1 set with Jurassic Park slipcase. It comes with both Jurassic Park and Sonic 1.

Europe did indeed receive awesome and varied MD bundles but.....PAL, 50hz, seriously?

PAL = higher resolution, 320/256x240 instead of 320/256x224. 50 Hz = less slowdown in 95% of games (in other cases, just switch to 60 Hz).

Also, good Streets of Rage 3 boxart!

That's a pretty sweet box indeed! Do you know where your copy was originally sold?

I'm afraid not, other than it was in the Netherlands... I showed it to one of my best friends and he said he remembered seeing it, too.
He thought it was at a Bart Smit toy store, but he wasn't sure, either. This one still has the price on it, 379 Dutch Guilders, over 170
    Euros.
