I always thought this one totally rocked, but I should post it in the misleading thread because of how many enemies there are in the picture.

By the way, "epic" is a literary term and I refuse to accept the internet's misuse of it as a synonym for awesome, cool, or whatever. Most games do not even approach epic, and a picture cannot be epic.

So far, those are my favorite from them. I'll keep it niche with this post. 'Will post more later if my favorites from other sources are not already taken.
I see a lot of Frazetta art influencing those artists.

*Edit* Nevermind. I just realized who the artist was.

A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

Boris is an artist you know by his first name only. It's like when someone says Koby, you think of Koby Bryant.

I could probably post that picture in the other thread, since Nei's ears look like horns in that artist's rendition.

These are my favorites from Atari Lynx:

I have never played this game but my friend had it for Amiga. I always thought the box looked cool:

Herzog Zwei was already posted but here are some other cool Sega covers:
