    Heh. nah.
I don't really know any video game music. My friend(www.myspace.com/sirweezejunk) does alot of NintenDOH stuff, but I never learned anything but the bassline to Chrono Trigger's battle theme. That was years ago. I would, but I haven't decided what I'd want to do. Give me a few days and I could probably figure THAT out again...

And for the record, the reason direct recorded sounds the way it does it guitar amp speakers filter out tones above 5khz. Direct recorded sounds have a 'buzzsaw' quality in comparison.

I'm used to the Genesis, but seeing that I own two PAL Mega Drive games... I think the logo is much better.

I found it funny that I paid $20 for MINT European carts of Phantasy Star 2 and 3, when a loose cart of Phantasy Star 2 is that much an hour away in awful condition.
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...

Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.

I actually hate the PAL Mega Drive logo. It has that same weird shape thing as the first Genesis logo kind of making it look like a cheap Hong Kong rip off or something. I really like the JAPANESE Mega Drive logo, however.

Yeah i always disliked the PAL Mega Drive logo too, and for the same reasons.

It looked cheap and poorly designed.

The Japanese "MD" logo really was the best of the bunch.

yess many play nintendo soem of them trie the more unfamilair things like sgea genesis games and more un typical stuff like a contra or blue shadow(heard so many F...cking times) okay i do have to admit mario tunes are fun doing also streetfighter has that edge of just must couse their reminders and not to difficult and hell fun,the library of sega is bit more unfamilair but then the genesis was one of the first consoles to work with fm synthesis playiong comix zoen and getting a crappy cd with it asks for covering same for fire shark musha and more soem are more into nintendo covers i respect tat but im more into my own guitar stuff and some covers from slayer metallica and the game coverage fun.

Slayer hmm their okay some fun songs but Tom cant sing nice but can sing fast i like that,i have more preference for a good voice then some quick talk and some overdone solos, the solos make hell no snece their really messy somethimes in slayer songs couse their done to fast reign in blodd album 2 or 3 songs are okay reign in blood agressive perfector and another the rest is too fast too fast simplistic crap with speedy mess solos in it(i really do hate the solos) i find slayer not as professional as metallica couse the songs are okay and some good but hell not difficult to play the riffs from any slayer album are doable same as for metallica albums but unforgiffen 2 and some others cost a day practise, i learned reighn in blood in 5 min its so simple, yet have to try some more slayer and find out if theirs actually a good voice in their music and not messy guitar solos i think seasons in abyss wil do me good yet to try that one.

I hate the Minibosses. They sound like ass. Why has this thread been infected with their name?

One of the things I like about Slayer is the stupid solos. "Yeah just drink a pot of coffe and go!"
    HILARIOUS!!!

And I like Minibosses. They sound live. I like that. I prefer a relatively thin sound that's natural to a thick sound that's over-produced.

Actually most studio rock/metal is still very under-produced as far as the sound quality goes. Sure, it is "over-mixed" meaning that you may hear 3 or 4 guitars simultaneously when the band has but one guitarist, etc. But rock music is mixed so that it can still sound decent on low-grade boom-boxes and car stereos/radio. It could sound so much better even on normal 44.1Khz 16-bit CD. The MiniBosses use the crappiest microphones/equipment in the world and that's why they sound so thin. They also know nothing of EQ, as they could at least smooth out their screechingly high frequencies if they cared. They may sound the same live, but their equipment sucks. If you hear a band live with good equipment, then it sounds amazingly good, not "thin".

How dare this mighty logo be insulted, just look at its excellence, all silver and shiny with a great font . It just feels right to be honest -

The second one is much better. As said before, the first one looks like a cheap Hong Kong knock-off of the Genesis logo.

The first image looks like it should be on a car and, in my opinion (which makes it right), is better than the second.
