If you think $300.00 was an insane price to pay for EarthBound, today someone paid a whopping $620.00 for the game, the box, the strategy guide but not in the best condition, white cardboard game holder, subscription card, Nintendo Power advertisement, and consumer information booklet.

Often times curiosity gets the better of me and I periodically check to see what the final winning bid will be for a complete copy of the game with the strategy guide! I often wonder what possesses a person to enter an astronomical figure for this game and if the person wins the auction, do they have the gonads to play the game on their original console. Maybe at the time of bidding, they are suffering from a mix of euphoria and temporary insanity! That is until they have to pay their credit card bill!

And for those who didn't look, here's the feedback for the seller...

Dishonest seller. Avoided contact and no item received. Very unhappy.

Buyer was refunded and refused to pay for this transaction through official ways.

If the buyer got a refund, then... wait. What?

Lol, if I was the buyer I'd probably leave bad feedback as well if I didn't get the item. If I was the seller and realized the error before I sent it out there's no way I'd take a loss that big just for 1 measly feedback, I doubt anyone would.

Heck, even the $300+ sale for the complete version was a steal since I've seen pristine copies of the game go for over $1000 with plenty of photos. I've wanted to play the game, but screw paying that much for a loose cartridge. At least if you drop $200 on MUSHA you'd probably get one in nice condition that's complete.

I think I've got yours beat. Look what I missed out on over the weekend.

If you can't read it, here's the link to my photobucket pic http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/...Craigslist.png

The actual craigslist link has been deleted. He posted it on Sunday at 10:44am, and I saw it and emailed him around 1pm. Sadly it was too late. Someone out there got Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, etc. for $30 total.

Dang, I've missed ones like that on Craigslist too, just don't let it get to you in the long run. The most recent one was a lot of NES games from some girl's ex-boyfriend who must have been an NES collector. There was Bubble Bobble 2, Action 52 and a bunch of other nice rares that she only wanted like $100 for.

I'll be honest, I've had times where if someone says they've already got someone coming to pick it up I'll offer more than the asking price. Sometimes it works and sometimes you can get into a bidding war. At least I don't feel bad because the seller is winding up with more cash.
