If this is a new 2D console Zelda game then I'm sold.

    Less talk more action!

Is that a portable game? I can't get into portable games.

Yes. You could always try it on the Game Boy Player through the Gamecube, though.

It's worth playing on the Super Game Boy or the Game Boy Player if you don't want to play it on a portable. In my opinion it's the best of the 2D Zelda's, and if you like Zelda at all you should definitely give it a shot.

Yea Links Awakening is great, and one of my favorite Zelda games as well.

There are three games I want basically the same gameplay of but entirely revamped and expanded: Secret of Mana, Super Metroid, and Link to the Past. If this is just a lousy 3D remake, then fie on Miyamoto. The gamers want 2D Zelda!

    Do you have said article?

Yes. I'm going to go ahead and pull it out of my ass, since that's where I store the 'shit-ton' of articles I read online.

Just google news articles on zelda-miyamoto-Nintendo. I just did and found half of them calling it a remake, the other half a sequel.

I actually preferred Links Awakening to LttP, but I was never crazy about LttP. Links Awakening feels more balanced and there are not any dungeons that I did not like.
