But there was also a Sonic 3 commercial about GroundHog Day. Only seen it once on TV. Never seen it again. Not even on the Internet.
I remember being 14 and experiencing sonic 3 for the first time one of those stands. I didn't own a genesis at the time and it didn't feel as fun as sonic 2 so I sorta stopped playing and moved on. It's harder to get into than sonic 2 but if you spend the time it's truly an awesome game.
The play mechanics are definitely there. But the levels in Sonic 3 are quite different from the previous Sonic titles.
I'm actually not as big of a sonic 3 fan as I am a sonic CD, Sonic 2, and Sonic 1 fan. Sonic 3's entire "feel" is just sort of... wrong IMO. Dont get me wrong, its still a great game, it just failed to replicate the feel of Sonic 2, which I to this day think is the best sonic game ever made.
