Skull Girls (PSN)

As a long time fan of the fighting genre, especially 2d, I'm always on the lookout for new games. While on the PSN yesterday, I seen Darkstalkers 3 (PS1 version) is now available so I add it to my cart and looked around for something else before checking out. I then came across a new fighting game called "Skull Girls." It's $15, but I took a gamble and bought it. I must say, it's definitely worth the money! I really like the look of the game. Some of the characters are quite crazy especially "Double." The game has the six button set up and combos seem to flow quite easily, though I'm going to need to practice to get better at it. Only has 8 characters, so it's not quite as big as other fighting games, though I'm sure more will probably be added later. Worth checking out if you like fighting games!

I played the demo of this briefly a week or so ago. I liked the characters and animations but something about the gameplay felt off. Or maybe I just wanted it to feel like a Capcom fighter. I'll have to try it again to explain that better.

It's a doujin fighter made in the same vein of Japanese doujin fighters, so it's going to feel off.
