    Atari2600 i bought a 2600

I recently wanted to expand my console collection, and i bought an Atari 2600 Jr for my collection. only the system is suppose to be missing the cord that runs the system to the TV. If i remember correctly there is a cord that runs from the Atari and into an RF switch box that runs into the TV (like the genesis?) anyway i did type up "atari 2600 cords" into eBay and most of the results came up, "Atari, Genesis cord" so does this mean my cord from the genesis is compatible with the Atari. if not can you point me in the right direction to buy one? I have a picture of everything that's included with the system and it looks like to me that the cord connecting the Atari to the RF box is missing...

here is the system i bought.

P.S what is that little connector thing under the games i don't recall that being with my Genesis...

    thanks for your time

That "connector thing" you see are actually two converters hooked together, one is a 75-to-300 ohm converter and the other is a 300-to-75 ohm converter. You'll need those for the switchbox since it uses old 300 ohm connectors. To connect the 2600 to the switchbox you'll need a simple RCA cable, which can be found pretty much anywhere. However, if you want the best picture quality from your 2600's RF, consider getting one of these instead of the switchbox: http://tinyurl.com/c49wy4o

I received the console today, but it seems to be missing that connector thing under the games is that essential to hook it up to the TV? The console itself also didn't come with any RCA cables, but I'm guessing any RCA cable will do, since i think they are pretty much all the same. One more question the yellow switchbox, the RCA connects into it, but to connect it to the TV it's just these little prong things, maybe dad will know what to do, but none of my RF consoles had this, i looked on youtube for some help but no one says anything about these little prong things.

    sorry for all my questions,

    just use this:

You don't need the yellow RF adaptor unless you have a TV that is like 30 years old.

i looked into a coax connector but i don't think you can buy them here, all we have is a Ostagon computers which i don't know if they carry them, maybe when i go to the city this week I'll pick one up. it does look like it makes it way easier to set up.
