That's pretty stupid to refuse to even try a game just because it's not made in Japan. The first 2 Diablo games were pretty ground breaking online RPGs for the time.

It is possible to use a Gamepad. PSO2 probably has the best gamepad support of any PC Phantasy Star title. You've been able to use a gamepad since PSO Ver. 2 on PC. PSO2 though will actually modify the HUD to match your game pad.

The moment they announced it would be online only (no offline single player mode), I stopped caring about the project. I know you can still do some single player quests a la runescape, but my level of caring remains equal to zero.
