I didn't like the second one, and it was incomplete. Dialogue and quests are missing, etc...

The Mos Espa levels are very "open world". Killing the majority of the town never gets old.

I found it hilarious when you spoke to Padme after killing so many townspeople and she'd say "This place is horrible! Some awful man is murdering innocent people all over town!"

Can anyone who has played both compare Battlefront I and II?

From what I can remember the big difference between Battlefront I and II is the inclusion of the hero/villain characters: whenever you reach a certain amount of points in one life you can switch to a special character that depends on the stage (for example one stage may have Chewbacca and the other one might have Han Solo; same with the villains: one stage may have General Grievous and another one may have Darth Vader)

Also, another awesome Star Wars game is LEGO Star Wars II, which is one of my favorites of the Traveller's Tales LEGO games.

There's also different worlds/planets. For example in the Phantom Menace when they fought the battle on Jar Jar Bink's planet, that battle is in Battlefront but not Battlefront II.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I always thought they were really difficult and overrated platformers. Just not fun to play. Remember that time in the movies where Luke Skywalker faced a huge sand worm with nothing but a blaster?

Battlefront 1 I always preferred because it was solely ground battles. Battlefront II has the same gameplay but expounded on the original with really bad space battles, overpower Jedi characters that are unlocked to use after a certain amount of kills/kill streak (I can't remember) more classes of characters, more levels, and "Elite" weaponry and power-ups which are unlocked after so many kills and kill streaks achieved. The Jedi characters and elite weapons and power-ups always broke the game for me because if you had a developed character with all the kill streaks and whatnot unlocked already, you started off with overpowered weapons that made the game unfair, especially on two-player.

Stick with Battlefront 1, it's much more fun and much fairer if you're playing with friends. The Galactic Conquest 2-player mode is also a lot simpler and a lot shorter than what it is in Battlefront II, which takes an eternity because they went from around 8 planets to 30-something planets because they decided to fit in the whole galaxy. Add in Space Battles and Galactic Conquest takes so long that it's not fun.

TIE Fighter (either CD version) is so, so great that it's almost better than all the other Star Wars games combined... and yes, there are a lot of good ones. TIE Fighter's just... perfect. It's as good as a space sim possibly could be.

As for second place, that'd go to Jedi Knight 1 (Dark Forces 2) and its expansion pack Mysteries of the Sith. It's a fantastic FPS and still one of the greats of the genre.

After that, it gets harder... I'm not sure, really. The top ones probably are X-Wing (CD vers.), X-Wing Alliance, Battle for Naboo, Rogue Squadron II, Rogue Squadron III, Dark Forces... those are all pretty good. Maybe also one of the Super Star Wars games, I'm not sure. I like both the first Super Star Wars and the third one, Super Return of the Jedi... not sure which one is better overall. Oh, and it's not really that great, but I have to give Rebel Assault 1 points as a nostalgic favorite of sorts... that was one of the first CD games I ever owned, and it made an impression, even while the gameplay always was on the iffy side. Maybe also KotOR as well; I think KotOR 1 isn't nearly as good as either Baldur's Gate game (or any of the other Infinity Engine titles), but it is a decently good game, at least. Flawed, but decently good.

I'd have to give the nod to the Jedi Knight series followed by KOTOR and Xwing vs Tie.

I love star wars and was totally addicted to SWTOR. That game was almost a dream game come true for me but I am currently 3 weeks sober from it. I cant do MMOs. I tried but failed. My problem is i'm a hardcore gamer to my core, but i have a casual gamers playing time. Its damn near impossible for someone like me to play an MMO with such little time. If I were a single guy with no kids, i'd be on it non stop.

Oh man, I totally forgot about the Jedi Knight series. I must have sunk in at least 200 hours on Jedi Knight 3: Jedi Academy PC Multiplayer alone. Used to LOVE playing that game, made a lot of friends. Haven't played that in years though...

I really liked the other 2600 Star Wars games - Jedi Arena, Death Star Battle and Star Wars Arcade.

Probably the only person who liked the Nes Star Wars and Star Wars Chess for the Sega CD.

I will put my head down and leave quietly.
