As you've discovered, nail polish remover (Which is just a fancy way of saying acetone) melts ABS plastic. Not a lot you can do about that.

Sorry I can't be more help.

Hmm, based on the picture it does look like some of the corner is missing due to being melted away by acetone. Since it's just a tiny panel I would try and find a local detailing or auto repair shop. They could probably bring it back up with some filler (bondo, etc) and maybe be able to taper the color on it with paint correctly.

Tricky work though, and it might cost you more than just buying another box or panel.

Your obivous fix is epoxy. You use epoxy mass aka green stuff. First sand the broken are with very heawy sand paper to get it rubbish surfaces. Then mold greenstuff to the place, then you sculpt the epoxy so that it looks natural. Then fine sand the surface and paint with miniature paints. I strongly suggest to mix black paint until you get as close as possible color match for orginal tone and then paint the repaired area with it.

IF you have fiberclass, you can use also epoxy clue for plastic. First put some epoxy, add glassfiber, put some more epoxy glue and again fiber and always remember to wait couble minutes it to dry a bit before adding more layers, if your corner is very heavily broken. This method needs a lot of sanding after molding so dremel is handy to have.

Also if you have a dremel, you could drive a groove to the plastic, to add more strenght for glue to bind into the groove.

If you go to the extreem, you could use 0,8mm drill bit and drill holes to the plastic, then add some resitor legs to make a metal structure. Then add your epoxy on top of the metal structure and it will last long time.
    Good luck.
