    Default AIWA Mega CD Repair

    Hello,
    I am thinking about buying one but, it's experiences failures when playing games.
    Would this be any easy of should I pass on buying it ?

    It would not be easy for the average person no. I've got a great deal of experience with such repairs and wouldn't find it difficult.

    In all liklihood you'd probably break something taking it apart unless you've done it before.

    Usually mega cd's these days have dead laser, so only hard thing is to find correct laser for the console. Installing the laser is fairly easy. Usually just dismantling the console and switch the laser...

    I was looking at them as well for awhile, but since the price went over the $350 that the last auction even ended for with no bids and the guy wants $100 for courier shipping I'll pass.
