I always thought that the beginning of these two RPG battle songs sounded kind of similar...

Also, hasn't there already been a thread like this one a while ago?

Here are a couple with similarities that I've noticed, though they are only small portions and aren't all exactly the same, so I know some are pushing it. I just thought it was a bit funny and can't help but make the comparisons every time I listen to the songs. I have them as links so I can link using specific time signatures.

Also, yeah, the first two are Mega Man songs compared with the same Fist of The North Star song.

    1. Mega Man X - Storm Eagle / Fist of The North Star 2 Opening - Tough Boy

    2. Mega Man - Elec Man / Fist of The North Star 2 Opening - Tough Boy

    3. Mega Man X3 - Crush Crawfish / Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles NES - Intro Theme

For some reason, the site won't let me put two videos in a post

No, it's unbiased analysis. The only fanboyism is people who claim that Hyperstone Heist and Bloodlines are actually as good as their SNES counterparts.

This might be common knowledge - Deep Purple's April and Zelda.

This was really the reason I started this thread but I just couldn't find the dam name of this track.

Anyways, Valve's theme sounds like a track in Thunder Force IV

Well I know there is a video comparison of music from Doom/Doom II and Pantera. Which is kinda strange now when I hear those songs I think of Doom.

Also, a television commercial from a couple of years ago used the music from the match game in SMB3. I can't find where I posted this commercial.

All the tracks from Sonic Megamix on Sega CD were heard somewhere else.

    Lightbulb

Listening again to the music of Streets of Rage 3, a track made me think a bit about a Björk song. Well after listening again to one and the other almost at the same time, there may not be much over it, but I know I have the feeling that there is a kind of influence .... maybe it's just in my head, but I checked the Björk song released in 1993, a year before the release of Streets of Rage 3 and Yuzo Koshiro often drew his inspiration from recent music.
