Default F1 Challenge on the Saturn

Whats your opinion on this game? Odd it was Sega that published in Japan and developed it also but published by Virgin Interactive in the USA (dunno about Europe but it was released there). Am I the only one who think that F1 Challenge is better than the original (non-CCE) edition of Daytona on the Saturn? Yes, CCE is better than this game and every other version of Daytona, I am talking about the Saturn version, not the arcade or DC.

Other that being really simple, ie 1player, just an arcade mode and time attack and a small number of cars and tracks like six, it's overall a better game in my opinion. Graphically looks better, a bit smoother and I will admit Daytona has better music but the music here isn't too bad. The ONLY issue compared to Daytona is the crashes, they are unimpressive and crap but overall F1 is a much better game than Daytona USA on the Saturn.
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...

Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.

Dunno about it being better than Daytona but it definitely is an excellent game. Bitd I did not fully appreciate some of Sega's earlier Saturn games. There were quite a few that slipped through the cracks.

F1 Challenge is mediocre at best. There are a lot of problems with this game, the first being the poor collision detection.

A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

the original daytona is also better than cce, in terms of pure gameplay.

f1 challenge I own but didn't care for it much. probably because I'm an f1 nut, or I used to be and this game didn't appear to me very realistic
