Adventureland. Love Kristen but what a depressing freakin' movie. Fuck buddies, ambiguous relationships which get estranged, pot everywhere, loneliness, scathing gossip, unlikeable characters.

Sheesh. Not much of an escape from real life.

I felt the exact same way. I thought it was going to be a comedy, not a film version of last year.

    Much better film.

Been hitting up the Nextflix like mad lately.

Watch Sin Nombre, The Quick and the Dead, and LA Confidential today.

Sin Nombre: Beautiful look, but I was predicting everything 2-3 steps ahead. Not a bad film in anyway, but kinda boring and had a feeling of "been there before".

The Quick and the Dead: Goofy as hell, but still a damn solid move. I didn't care for Stone's performance, but after realizing she was responsible for pretty much everyone in it (She requested Crowe, DiCaprio, and Raimi personally) I forgive her. When the rain lets up, I'll make an example of you.

LA Confidential is still fucking great. I just needed to see how great on this new 52 inch with surround sound.

I couldn't sleep a few night back so on TV on the Horror Movie channel I watched something called Pervert!. I can't really describe this movie as not really horror but basic overview:

Guy can't stop masturbating, goes to voodoo doctor and get a spell done to make woman sleep with him so no more masturbating. Curse of this is his dick comes off and kills people. Setting in American South with Nazi mechanic, crazy meat sculpting father and big tit prostitutes and you have a very weird film.

This does not really allow full weirdness of the film to be described but a start.

The last movie I watched was Lone Star and it was so boring that I almost fell asleep. I need to watch something good today, I'm quite interested in Heat with Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Val Kilmer so maybe I'll watch that movie tonight.

    nissling, find Tombstone.

Only saying that because you mentioned Lone Start and Val Kilmer in one post.

    And Tombstone is awesome.

Just watched "King Kong" (1933). Very entertaining film, right up with with Frankenstein in the "monster" genre. This film got it, MUCH better than the P.Jackson mess from a few years ago.

Just watched Heat on Laserdisc. A bit long but quite entertaining and well made. Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in one single movie, that's more then enough to call this movie good.

EDIT: Guessing you mean't "Heat" so I'ma samaritan that mistake and fixed it.

Oh man, I'll never forget when I watched that flick for the first time. I watched it because it's sort of like a movie-version of Snatcher. Heh, I have the 5-disc editions on both Hd-Dvd and Blu-Ray along with the standard 2-disc edition on Hd-Dvd that was released in Europe (I gave my Dvd-copy of it to Zebbe about a year ago or so).
