Saw Angels and Demons last night, I found it stayed relatively true to the book and had a lot more action in it than the likes of the Da Vinci code. All in all I enjoyed it.![]()

Hahahah! Almost always when I go to see a film, there's max 10 other people there.* Funniest was when I went to see Eternal Sunshine with the boyfriend - there were 3 other people, and around 20 minutes in one of them loudly announced "this is bollocks!" before walking out, followed by his friends. I think they were expecting Dumb & Dumbererer.
The only new film I've seen in, oh... forever or so, is Coraline. It was quite fun. Oh - and it also allowed me to add a pair of otherwise useless 3d glasses to my wardrobe. Bonus!
*Of course, this is only England, and people only recently stopped screaming and ducking out of the way of oncoming cinematic trains here.![]()
Another cold miserable weekend... so we sat inside by the fire and watched "Rhys Darby, imagine that". Well worth a look with plenty of laughs!![]()
I watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button last night. It was pretty good, but it really felt like David Fincher's stab at Forrest Gump (there were so many similarities between the two movies it was ridiculous).
On a semi-related note, I love Cate Blanchett.
Watched Revolution OS with my mother yesterday. Great film, although Richard Stallman did not get enough screen time.
The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.
Then we set about developing killer games.

Angels & Demons
almost fell asleep halfway in the movie....
Terminator 4. Meh, could have been much worse. I particularly liked the kind of twist ending. But overall I thought the main story arc was needless.

It doesn't have to be epic. I prefer subtlety myself. It just that TNG, Voyager, and Ds9 make me want to gag myself with a spoon about every other episode. Does anyone remember the Baseball episode in DS9 where they play the Vulcans? I swear I am not making this up. It was one of the worst things I ever seen.
Sometimes politics in Enterprise were awesome. They were always heated and believable. However most people hate this show because it had things like continuity or they hate Bakula.
I always found Trek at its best when they broke the rules.
I would rather not compare Star Trek to Star Wars. I grew up with and enjoy both.

I saw that wolverine movie when it first came out. I was pleasantly surprised and didn't hate it at all. Had a pretty good time drinking beer in the theater also. As expensive as tickets are these days I always bring my own refreshments.
I saw Terminator Salvation Thursday morning, and I'm just now coming to terms with how shitty it was. *Maybe* a good action flick but it sure as hell isn't a Terminator movie, just a movie with Terminators in it. Too bad really, as I've been waiting for a futuristic Terminator movie since T2 came out.
I saw Taken though twice this week, now that's a movie that kicks an assload of ass.
I didn't think Salvation was that bad . . . but I thought Taken was incredibly cheesy.
Well if it's any consolation I don't think we've ever agreed on much of anything here![]()
Someday, man. Someday.
